Weekly Picks: La Taqueria Pinche Taco Shop

Coming to think of it, I haven't had too many home cooked Chinese meals recently. I'm not sure if my Chinese food selection is restricted with the location that I'm residing in, or am I craving different cuisines due to the travel restrictions... Since I can't travel I guess the only way to satisfy my wanderlust itch is to be adventurous with the menus.

This week's pick is the La Taqueria Pinche Taco Shop (TBH I don't know how to pronounce 50% of their store name). Their tacos are the BOMB! I've always been a burrito kinda girl but this place changed my mind.

We tried three different types of tacos including the fish Baja, carnitas, and the taco of the day (shredded beef) and they were all super tasty! My favorite was the Baja, and I don't normally like ordering fish and chips or fried fish of any kind. Wow, this place is filled with surprises! We also ordered the seafood burritos but we didn't like it that much. It's saucy and flavorful as well but there's too much rice.

808: YogurStory - Oahu Brunch Fave

We came back for the ube pancake, and this time we added a strawberry shortcake pancake to try as well. The strawberry flavour was refreshing; and the ube pancake was packed with coconut and ube flavour. 😍😍😍😍 They were both amazing! As usual, we scraped off every bits and pieces off from the plate. The beef skillet with scrambled egg isn't worth mentioning, but my uncle liked it and said he will order it every time from now on 🤷🏻‍♀️

604: Red Wagon - Brunch Fave

This is our family favourite brunch spot. It was also featured on the Food Network's TV series, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. Guy Fieri was spotted visiting this restaurant twice! Doesn't that say something?

We always order the SuperTrucker which comes with 2 eggs, 2 buttermilk pancakes, homefries, toast, ​choice of bacon or sausage. Essentially, the SuperTrucker has a bit of everything.

Trust me, they really have turned the brunch game to a whole new level!
