With the coupon on hand, my friend and I bought their bubble waffles at $1.50. Let's say if the waffle was $1.00 without a coupon, I don't think I'd be returning for more.
The bubble waffle was unexpectedly chewy. My friend and I were completely thrown off by the chewiness - it’s like a Mochi kind of chewy - and that’s cause they’ve used glutinous rice flour to make this. This explains why it doesn’t hold its shape (look at the second picture from the top in the gallery). If they had advertised it being a Mochi waffle then I think i would have given it a higher rating, but this is like false advertisement...
The waffle lacks eggs flavor, lacks custard flavor, and lacks crispiness. Even my friend, who's from Beijing, thought the texture was off.
